Dentsu’s “AI UEO*1 尝补产”*2, which researches the use of AI for education, has released a prototype of its “Learned Words Picture Book” as the first step in its “AI Picture Book” project, which aims to expand the world of words for children.
Our “AI Picture Book” is a service where children simply enter the words they have learned on a tablet, smartphone or computer, and AI generates a story using related words. By learning the connections between the words children have already learned and the new words around them, we aim to give them an opportunity for language acquisition.
The AI-generated “Learned Words Picture Book” is perfect for reading aloud to children over the age of one, when they begin to remember words such as “mom” and “dad.” For example, if a child enters the word “car” as a word they have learned under the title ‘The World that -- Sees,’ a picture book called ‘The World that a Car Sees’ will be generated. Children can learn new words and expand their world through stories that introduce words related to and surrounding the words they have learned, such as “besides,” “above,” and “underneath.”
